Then welcome to "Dreams on Canvas", a platform to showcase your artistic talent. Dreams on Canvas brings together the best student artists from the country to compete and exhibit their proficiency in shades and colors.

This is an art exhibition at Saarang where we expect you not to just exhibit your paintings but to bring out other artistic abilities in you. For this purpose, the exhibition over the four days will be coupled with various lectures and workshops by the who's-who of the art world.

To participate

* Take one good clarity picture of the painting you wish to exhibit
* Mail the picture to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
* Send a hand-written undertaking along with the mail stating that the painting is your original work.
* 30 selected applicants would exhibit their painting at Saarang 2010 in the presence of big shots in the art industry.

Rules:

* Send the picture of the painting that you wish to exhibit.
* A1 size+10cm is the maximum allowed size of the painting (including the frame).
* A brief description about your painting should be written in the mail.
* With regard to the competition, the decision of the judges shall be deemed final.
* Plagiarism in any form will be dealt with seriously.
* All applicants are required to mail a copy of hand-written and signed document declaring that the painting is their original work.

Eligibility:

* Open only to college students across the country.
* Selected participants will have to provide a proof of their studying in a college.

FAQs:

Q: For how many days is the event?

A: The event takes place for four days.


Q: Should I have participated in art-competitions before?

A: Not necessarily.


Q: Can we participate as a team?

A: No. This is an individual event.


Q: What should be the size of the painting-canvas?

A: The maximum size of the canvas can be A1+10cm however it should be bigger than A3.


Q: What should be the theme of our painting?

A: We don’t specify you a theme. You can come up with your themes.


Q: How should the painting be framed?

A: We don’t expect you to use standard wooden-frames but the painting should be able to be mounted against a plank.


Q: Do I need stay in the institute during Saarang?

A: You will be required to be present on the days of the exhibition. Outstation participants could register at the hospitality portal for accomodation.
