HammerFall

 

This five-piece heavy metal band has been hailed as the leaders of the new heavy metal movement. They have been nominated for the "Best Hard Rock" category at the 2010 Swedish Grammy Awards, for their 2009 studio album "No Sacrifice, No Victory".

Formed in 1993 by guitarist Oscar Dronjak of Ceremonial Oath, the band has featured members from In Flames, Dark Tranquility, and other popular metal bands.

 

Hurricane Bells


IIT Madras and the US Consulate, Chennai, present Hurricane Bells, an indie-rock band from New York. Hurricane Bells is a new project from Steve Schiltz, singer and guitarist of Longwave for nearly ten years.

An unreleased Hurricane Bells track “Monsters”, is featured in the Soundtrack for the second film of the Twilight franchise, New Moon, along with Thom Yorke, The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie.
