Dramatics

Make us laugh, make us cry, make us throw rotten eggs and tomatoes at you – the stage is yours for fifty minutes, and so is the audience. Saarang Dramatics is one of the biggest college-level dramatics competitions in the country, so if you have a great script and a great cast, this is the best place to show them off.

Rules:

• Time Limit - The time of 1 hour will be counted from 'empty stage to empty stage'.
• Props - Basic props will be provided on prior notice, i.e. chairs, tables and 1 cot.
• Sticking on the backdrop will NOT be allowed.
• Use of fire/water/smoke machines on stage (or anywhere in its vicinity) is strictly prohibited.
• Lighting - 12 power cans and 1 spot light will be provided. No extra lights will be allowed.
• Sounds - Bring your own laptop with the sounds. Live music is allowed (only keyboard and guitar).
• The play should primarily be in English.
• Only members of teams with valid ID card will be allowed to participate.
• Cross-college teams will NOT be allowed.
• Allotments of performance slots will be at the discretion of the coordinators.
