Think you can win over millions with the magic of your voice? Saarang 2010 gives you an opportunity to prove your talent. Battle it out at Alankaar, LM solo Competition - where the best in the country battle it out for the coveted title!
Rules
Prelims:
1. Three minutes will be allotted to each participant.
2. Only ONE accompanist will be allowed (the vocalist playing an instrument included).
3. One keyboard alone will be provided at the venue. (Keyboard sequencing is not allowed)
4. No MIDI or back-up tracks allowed.
5. Shruti box or/and a metronome is allowed (excluding the accompanist).
6. Registration is compulsory. Only registered participants will be allowed to perform.
7. Registrations will start at the hospitality desk ONE HOUR prior to the beginning of the event.
8. A valid college ID card is necessary for registration.
Finals:
1. Only 8 selected participants from the prelims will be allowed to perform in the final round.
2. The final round will be held in TWO stages
* Stage 1 - Each finalist will have to perform a medley of songs for a maximum time limit of 5 minutes. *Note that it is a MEDLEY and not just performances of different songs.
* Stage 2 - Vocal variations and/or tempo variations as per the judge's discretion will be suggested and the participant will have to incorporate the same in their rendition herewith.
3. The final results will depend on the participants' performance in both the stages of the final round.
