It’s every college dance team’s most awaited night of the year. With tickets sold out days in advance, and an 8000+ sized audience, it’s a larger than life experience.  Choreo nite, the only night at Saarang in to which so much energy goes in. It’s the perfect floor for dance crews to come showcase their talent. The competition is cut throat but the experience is just mind-blowing and immense fun. Rules:

*       The competition is divided into two categories- Theme and Non-Theme. Each category has two winning spots.

*       Each team is given a time slot of 8+2 minutes which includes time for stage set up.

*      Points are awarded for theme, choreography, co-ordination, costumes and props in the Theme category. For the Non-theme category points will be awarded for choreography, co-ordination, costumes and props.

*      Minimum number of participants per team is 6. Maximum number of participants per team is 25. Maximum of 2 back stage helpers.

*      Maximum number of colleges participating is 25.

*      Only one team is allowed per college.

*      Each team has to deposit caution money of Rs. 1000 which will be returned after the event.

*      Each team must submit a bonafide certificate for all the participants of that team signed by the Head of their institute.

*      Fire, water and heavy objects are NOT allowed on stage. No indecency during the performance.

*      Lighting facility is available. One person from the team is allowed to supervise else it will be up to the lighting group.

*      All team members should have their ID cards with them.

Important Note:

1.    Teams are required to confirm their participation at the Choreo Desk, at OAT, from 9 am - 12 am on 22nd January. Registration for accommodation will be done separately at the Hospitality Desk.

2.      It will be ideal if the entire team visits, to have an idea of the venue, but only the team leader will have to be there at the Choreo desk.

3.      Teams are also required to submit the tracks at the Choreo desk. A sound check will be done. Please bring the tracks in 2 CD's and a pen drive in all possible formats. This measure is for your own benefit. We will not otherwise be responsible if the CD's do not work during the time of their performance, hence do come and check up in the morning.

4.      Choreo Caution Deposit Money of Rs 1000 will be collected at the Choreo Desk. This will be returned to you after the event.

5.      Lottery Based allotment will be followed for the order of performance. All team leaders are required to be present at the Choreo Desk for the allotment,    at 2:00 PM in OAT.

6.      Any team not ready by the specified time will stand disqualified.

7.      No changing rooms will be provided to the teams at the venue. Please come prepared in full costume to the venue.

8.      Passes to Choreo Nite will be provided to all the team-members.

9.      During the event, teams are requested to take care of your belongings. We will not be responsible for your belongings.

10.      Provision of Video Clipping of individual team performance is being looked into. Information on this will be put up at a later stage.
