Street 2HBC

This is a subsidiary of the main 2HBC concept, which Choreo Culture brings to Saarang 2010.

This Battle is a Dance competition between two individuals or two groups of dancers who try to out-dance each other. Organized battles set a format for competition such as a time limit or a cap on the number of participants. Organized battles also have judges, who are usually chosen based on their years of experience, level of cultural knowledge, contribution to the scene, and ability to judge in an unbiased manner. The main dance styles include break dance and b-boying, forms of street dance styles that evolved as a part of the hip hop movement among Afro American and Puerto Rican youth, freestyle hip hop, commercial hip hop, popping & locking and all similar styles in Hip Hop.

The concept of Street 2HBC is first of its kind in India and is definitely something of a different color apart from the reality shows and other shows with the regular format.

Rules:

  • All team members should have their ID cards with them.
  • Minimum number of participants per team is 6. Maximum number of participants per team is 8.
  • Each team has to deposit caution money of Rs. 500 which will be returned after the event.
  • Caution deposit won’t be refundable if the team back’s off or did not perform after acknowledgement of registration.

Style Rule:

  • B boying, Top Rock, Foot Work, Teasing each other, Combo’s, Power moves with combos

Sequence Rule:

  • Each team has to show 2 min of introduction choreography with top rock, break dance style moves before the teams face each other.
  • There will be preliminary and final rounds of minimum of 8min.(2+8) min of preliminary, in which 2 min of introduction choreography will be strictly considered for next stage selectionThe looser will be knocked out.

Floor Rule:

  • Judge decision is the final.
  • Respect the floor, Shake hands before and after the battle with the opposite team.
  • No misbehavior, No indecency and No removing of T-shirts.

Registration details:

Registrations will be opened from 19th of Jan (evening) and we are having limited registrations.
First come first serve bases.
