Where would you find a soulful rendition of "Tere Bin", a just-out-of-school band belting out Metallica, an auditorium filled with people scratching their heads over who the first Oscar winner from India was, 2 teams having a go at each other with Paintball guns and a powerful re-enactment of Othello, all happening at the same time?

Welcome to Events at Saarang 2010! The place where everyone competes equally, where fun and frolic is unlimited, where talent is given its rightful reward... where dreams come true. For all of you, who have ever craved for a stage to show the world what you've got, crave no more. Or should we say "Never Fear, Saarang is Here".

Saarang always had the biggest roster of competitive events among cultural festivals, and that roster just got bigger. Along with the old Saarang favourites, a bunch of events with totally revamped formats and another bunch of whole new events will sweep you off your feet, at Saarang 2010. With a total of 50 events, representative of the Golden Jubilee year of IIT-Madras, almost everyone at this Saarang will have an event that caters to their taste.

We could go on and put in clichés like "It's not about winning or losing, but the joy of participating", but we won't. We won't because no one likes to lose. And with a total Prize Money of almost Rs. 8 Lakhs at stake, we think we'll have enough to go around without anyone losing. That is not to say it is all about fierce competitions and the joy of being first either. Add to those our wacky group events where everyone really is a winner, a Lecture Series featuring eminent personalities from all walks of life, Hands-On workshops conducted by experts in their fields and there really is no way that you can't take back anything from this Saarang.

So come over, and experience the magic (we might have a workshop on that too!)

All participants are required to register at the QMS desk, which will be located in front of the Central Lecture Theatre (near Gajendra Circle). Kindly note that participants are required to have their ID cards to take part in events, receive prizes, take part in workshops.
