Thank you all for making Saarang 2010 a grand success. We hope to see you all next year.

This year, Saarang was held from 21/1/2010 to 25/1/2010.

It is but poetic justice that what you read now is different from what you read earlier unless what you read earlier was the same as what, now that you know, you might not read now.

Saarang. Distinguished by its unique mix of offbeat and cultural events that include professional performances by reputed artistes, Saarang always has something for everyone. Saarang is not an event - it is an experience. It is an experience of the multitudes of human emotion and imagination. Five days, of the stuff dreams are made of. Dreams you remember when you snap out of it. Dreams that linger. Obsessively almost.

With what is probably the most youthful and diverse team from the past few years, this Saarang is unique. This is the part that’s different. It’s a forest fire that swallows anyone who comes within swallowing distance. It’s contagious. It drenches you like the monsoon. It grows under and around your feet. It can get past your clothes like the cool summer breeze. It tastes like the forbidden apple. Sting like a butterfly and float like a bee. Saarang 2009 was an addiction. Saarang 2010 is a substance. A substance to be seen, a substance to be inhaled. A substance to be touched and heard and tasted. There’s that feeling of overwhelming breathlessness sensation without room for any other thoughts at the end of it. And then there are memories.

Concentration levels are low and productivity is getting hit. Too many people sighing is causing an increas in atmospheric CO2 levels. The Earth’s magnetic poles are moving around. Mortality rates are on the decline and life expectancies are going up. They’ve lost all hope up there. Nowadays they just stand peering over the edge. With crossed arms they look at their watches and continue tapping their feet impatiently. ‘Kalyug.’ they admit and shake their heads with a twinge of jealousy. Heaven is waiting.
