Rock Show
Led-Zepplica and Parikrama

"We were the first Indian band that started fireworks on stage and it sure does something to the atmosphere, when people are screaming "More! More!" In the midst of psychedelic crackers and lighting. There's body chemistry in performing live, how you render the song, how the audience responds, it's a transformation when decibels break barriers!"

Parikrama

Parikrama, the oldest & wildest band needs no formal introduction to the rockers of India. India’s biggest rock band will be performing this year at Saarang-2006. They have gone a long way from being a fledgling band to one that makes headlines wherever they go since their creation one fine afternoon on the 17th of June, 1991.

They are staunch believers in rock and roll, with a dash of blues added to it and garnished with a generous helping of Indian music. They were the first Indian rock band to do an AIDS awareness concert as early as in 1992. Parikrama has already done more than two hundred live concerts across the country. Their original "Till I'm No One Again" featured on the GIR-I and "But it rained" on GIR-V dedicated to the Kargil heroes, shows that they have the talent and are raring to go high.

The Band:

Nitin Malik, the prototype rock star is the vocalist, & used this ability to win himself accolades at a very young age of 8. He is also responsible for lyrics & for engineering sound, during both concerts & studio sessions.

Sonam Sherpa, Guitars, playing guitars since the age of 9, uses an Epiphone Les Paul Standard guitar. He has won many awards in competitions, & has played for many bands earlier.

Saurabh Chaudhary (Saury), the youngest and the newest member (fresher) of the band adds another dimension to the band with his guitars.

Chintan Kalra, Bass Guitarist & backing vocals, is a big influence on the sound of Parikrama, & a member of the band since its formation.

Subir Malik, the eldest member of the band plays the keyboard & synthesizer, & is the driving force as the manager of the band.

Dilip Gururaj Ramachandran, drummer & percussionist, has been playing for more than 10 years now.
